Working Hours Rules

Normal Limit

Maximum 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week for all workers.

Ramadan

Muslim workers: max 6 hours/day and 36 hours/week during Ramadan.

Rest Breaks

At least 30 minutes rest for every 5 consecutive hours of work.

Weekly Rest

At least one full rest day per week — Friday is the default.

Important Notes

  • Max overtime: 3 additional hours per day
  • Overtime must be compensated at 150% or 200%
  • Employer cannot force overtime without worker consent
  • Ramadan hours apply to Muslim workers only by law
  • Some industries have different hour limits
